Logically, longevity refers to both chips and modules, you may want to get a formal statement by asking to Espressif.

ESP32-S2-SOLO-2 might be a good candidate, there are other modules that you can use depending on your specs.

Apart from the topic, for the next revision of the pcb, you may want to update the module to the current revision, which is the the ESP32-WROOM-32E

You may want to use a module instead of the chip, it will make your design effort much easier. There's a product selector on the website.

The pinch/zoom feature does not depend on the display controller itself, but on the touch sensor applied on the surface of the display and its controller, if any. Pinch/zoom feature requires a multi-touch capacitive sensor, the type of display module you describe, seem to come with a resistive touch...
