Re: ESP32 Arduino Nano — In-circuit debugging

This is general information for a new ESP32 product from Arduino. Maybe useful to others and filed under the General Discussion topic of the forum. If you are interested in helping, you can use the forum search function to see my history on this topic. But thanks for your kind and polite offer of he...

ESP32 Arduino Nano — In-circuit debugging

Reliable In-circuit debugging with the ESP32-C3 has never worked for me. Emphasizing the word reliable. Arduino claims to have fixed in-circuit debugging for the Arduino Nano ESP32 when used with the new Arduino IDE (I think they SOC’d the S3 part). If it works, that’s close enough. I’ll debug with ...

Re: 2.0.6 core update adds JTAG debugging in Arduino v2 IDE

Thanks for the info.
Maybe you know, does that requires external JTAG hardware and not the ESP32-C3 built-in JTAG? Using the UART/JTAG shenanigans.

Re: ESP32 DAC producing popping noise on the speaker

Are you keeping the phase continuous between frequency changes? The human ear is very sensitive to phase discontinuity :)

Espressif DevCon22

Espressif DevCon22 is streaming on YT. This is discussed in the “News” forum—which I never read. Currently, streaming a VSCode topic. Well produced. Well, a dog is barking in the background on this particular video but great content for ESP enthusiasts. I think videos will be available after the eve...

Re: ESP32-S3 - 2msps ADC

I’m guessing the hardware front-end is the limitation. But if it’s not a deliverable and not to be produced go ahead and experiment. Hackers do remarkable things with video and hardware that’s not supposed to work.

Re: ESP32-S3 - 2msps ADC

If you want repeatable results across devices, temperature and other parameters, I’d stick with the rates specified and tested in a document such as this:
