Re: ESP Thermal considerations

I would like to add that it happened in a few other EV boards. And the current usually drops to around 100-150mA. In one of them manual reset helped. Hi, what about your power supply? Does it look stable? Can you look at it with an Oscilloscope? (With a 10 mohm series resistor between your power so...

I'm not denying this is happening to you, it's just that noone else has reported this kind of systemic problem. I have thr...

Re: ESP Thermal considerations

- By did not turn on I meant the 1st of option of unresponsiveness from UART(the com was recognized by the computer due to the FT231X component), - Just to make sure I 100% understand: you open a serial program at 115200bps, reset the ESP32, and see absolutely no output at all from the UART? It see...

Re: Failure in ESP

I could not get the same result from a different board(thing or other).
I would be glad to provide any other needed details.

Re: ESP Thermal considerations

Hello, I checked for all the possibilities you have mentioned and it didn't help. The esp32 consumes around 100-150mA when working but not transmitting and around 250-300mA when transmitting. About the questions: - By did not turn on I meant the 1st of option of unresponsiveness from UART(the com wa...

Re: Failure in ESP

I also recreated the phenomena in room temperature. It seems statistical and doesn't have to do with temperature.
Any ides to why this can happen?

Brown Out

Hello,

The datasheet on the ESP32 doesn't say what exactly happens in brown out.
I have a failure that brown out solves and would like to understand what happens in the component when brown out occurs. Does anyone know?

Best Regards,
Eli

Failure in ESP

Hello, I am using ESP in Sparkfun Module ESP 32 thing. I had come upon a concerning failure a few times. The component was in the oven in 85°C and I was using it and another ESP32 as client and server, respectively. After the server was set up as AP and the client tried to connect the client got stu...
