WiFi connection and sleep mode

Hi All,
I have doubt about ESP32 sleep modes.
If I have set up of two WiFi devices, respective configuration are AP and APSTA mode.
STA of APSTA device is connecting with AP device. If light sleep mode is enable, When STA goes in sleep mode does WiFi connection terminate?
Is it configurable to set sleep mode in APSTA configuration?
How to use Sleep mode in WiFI mesh configuration? To save power when devices are operated on battery.
